Whether it's imagining a young man's coming of age in a far-flung barbaric world, envisioning life in a post-apocalyptic future, or pondering the trials and tribulations of growing up as a kid in today's society, I have been putting my thoughts to word form for nearly 50 years. You'd think by now I'd know all there is to know about the creative process, but that is nowhere near the case. That's what makes each new writing project, be it a children's book, the story plot and script for a video adventure game, the design of a math or language arts learning game, or the words and music to a song, such a satisfying experience. I discover something new about the process each time, and in turn, I learn something new about myself.
I'm an educator and I like to make up stories. Over the years I've been a middle school teacher and coach, an instructional designer, a casual game producer and designer, an educational software project manager, a children's book writer, a comic book series creator and writer, and a musician/songwriter of sorts. I've had the privilege of collaborating with so many talented people over the years that it's impossible to list them all. Below is a partial list of some of the publishers and game companies that I've been fortunate enough to work with.
